Creed

So some of you'll may have liked his longer hair better, but I'm totally a fan of Scott Stapp's new cropped hairdo!!!

Yes, and apart from how awesome they all (still) look, let's talk about their new album?
Orgasmic.

Creed is an American rock band from Tallahassee, Florida, that became popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The band disbanded in 2004 after three multi-platinum albums, selling 26 million records in the United States [1] and an estimated 35 million records worldwide.[2][3][4]
The band consists of guitarist and backing vocalist Mark Tremonti, lead vocalist Scott Stapp, drummer Scott Phillips and bassist Brian Marshall. They released two studio albums: My Own Prison (1997), Human Clay (1999) before Marshall left in 2000 to be replaced by touring bassist Brett Hestla. Afterwards came Weathered (2001) with Mark Tremonti handling bass before the band disbanded in 2004. Tremonti, Phillips and Marshall went on to found Alter Bridge while Stapp followed a solo career. After months of speculation, the original members of Creed reunited in 2009 for a tour and a new album called Full Circle.

And I'm glad they did.

Their newly released track 'Rain' (Ok... quite recent) gives me tingles, because of how awesome it is. That's pretty much all I can say, although I promise, I am searching for better words to use.

I wasn't initially a huge fan of Creed, apart from those obviously awesome songs we all listened to 'Arms wide open' and 'Higher' and 'Sacrifice'... Okay, I can name A LOT. I was a good enough fan.

But you know how, when bands come back from the 'dead' they're sold out and unreal? These guys are unreal but definitely in a good way.

I love the tone of his voice, and how genuinely he sings it. Plus, I like how simple the video is.

I'm so glad Creed are back! Their album is downloaded and ready to be heard...

Lifehouse

Hey!

Since most of my friends left for uni this year, if ever you're (whoever you are) feeling sad...
You must give 'Lifehouse - Everything' a listen.

It's slow, it'll probably make you cry and then they have this awesome chorus which is religous/breathtaking (one word or two?) and if you're lucky, you'll find the answers you were looking for (whoever you are).

The Verve.

The Verve has been around for sometime now, honestly, I don't remember from when. Some of these great bands have existed, decades before our time (although, this doesn't apply to The Verve, I'm sure they aren't THAT old, 1993 perhaps), and we have failed to recognize their talent.

The way these bands work exactly, are that they possess your mind and soul and before you even realise it, before you've turned off that station and gone back home to a peaceful/stressed out sleep, your filled with their voices and words in your head. Remember humming to 'bittersweet symphony' ? Perhaps in the backseat of your parents older car or a friends ruined tape...?

Anyway, they are back now, with their new and released unamed album, but gorgeous first song out of it, 'Love is Noise'.
It kicks ass. As simple as that, but that still doesn't give justice to just how great the song is. I listen to it and I think about everything from things I could never think about before, to things I've nearly forgotten.
Yes, that's what music should do- take you to another dimension and that's exactly what The Verve does, with this great new track.

Give it a listen.

Municipal Waste

I don't know anything about this band actually other than the fact that they probably came out in 2006, not too long ago.

The first song I ever heard of their's was three days back and it's called 'Unleash the Bastards'.
I absolutely, without doubt, love this song to bits.

Give it a listen!

Dashboard Confessional- Stolen

I'm not really sure about the bands whereabouts, such as- Where they're from, what 'exactly' their genre of music is etc. But we all remember singing to their very famous 'Vindicated' when Spiderman got out! Well, at least I do ...

Speaking in tune with DB, they aren't all that known... They aren't the band that come out with top hit singles every week and make an album every second year and even if they did, we wouldn't be too aware, unless ofcourse we were super huge fans of theirs.

There's this one song of theirs though that sets them apart from the rest...with the ability to transform your mind elsewhere, to a place filled with love and belonging? I'm not too sure what that feeling is...but it's a happy one to say the least.

It's sad to know that, you've got to search for more songs like these of theirs with other bands and themselves too...because, it's just so EFFING difficult! It's different, the tempo is just right and sort of pushes you into another dimension...one with lots of feeling!
However, I must ask you'll to let me know what exactly the dam video means... =)

You must give it a listen ...

Paramore.

Paramore is an American band from Tennessee that formed in 2004 and have two albums since then, which are:

2005- All We Know Is Falling

2007- Riot! (A personal favourite)

Paramore actually means 'secret lover' in French, and the band was named so, because it was the maiden name of a friend's mother.
All technicalities apart, the reason why Paramore have created initial controversy is because, aiding to their extrememly punk/alternative rock sound is the female voice of Hayley Williams.

The former of the band, Josh Farro, didn't like the prospect of a 'girl' singing and basically heading the band and this did cause severe media frenzies...but, pushed it all aside, were 4 fantastic 'forever on T.V' songs- 'Misery Business', 'This heart', 'CrushCrushCrush', and 'That's What You Get'.

Paramore's musical influences are: Jimmy Eat World, Sunny Day Real Estate and Death Cab for Cutie to name a few popular ones.
They're definately NOT one of those 'Kelly Clarkson with band' meet's 'Rock chic Avril Lavigne move' !

The vocals are nothing short of inspiring, for a girl to have gotten so far, without stirring much comparison to 'fallen-flat before' girl bands. She screams, she sings...she doesn't 'try'.
The sound is extremely unique, with heavy guitars here and there by basist Jeremy Davis and lead Josh Farro, but you'll never miss out the OBVIOUS 'drum beat' opening (at the start of every song, almost) by an enthusiast, Zac Farro.

You should give the top 4 song's that I have listed, a listen. It's definately worth it.
And if the lead singer being a girl is a 'turn down' before you've even bothered to hear, then put all previous music myths aside and give this a shot. You'll be surprised at how wrong you are!
